Hi JR92 Could you please post a clearer picture of the reverse side of the skull? I had a silver skull years ago which I believe had similar loops on the back to yours. I can not be certain without a better photo. I actually sent this wappen to the Rattstat museum and they said it was a copie. Brian
 
A Leib-Husaren Pelzmütze is the number one item I am looking for. The holes above the bones and a base-metal of nickel-silver are one of the key features I would expect to see on an original Totenkopf. All the replicas I have seen, are silvered brass, and have the huge cap-badge style lugs on the back (not the standard M95 Wappen loops), or brass tangs that are bent back mounted on the bones, left and right. So although I do not own one, this looks to be to be correct. I assume you are buying this JR92? (Je suis désolé, je ne sais pas votre nom.)

About the Busby, it could be an exchange, so I should be sure it's a good one.

Here a photo of an other skull head, I have since 1967.
It seems yellow on the photo, but it is made of white metal.
