I have often wondered where the supply and demand for these originated.
Did I miss something in my youth?

A great bike helmet if ever I saw one! You could even put some flower stick-ons on it. I'm sure most people buy these for carnival or similar, maybe gag gifts. One thing is for certain, you'll get noticed if you're wearing one!

If people wear these during carnaval, i don't wanne think about their matching uniforms they will wear with the helmets. I've seen a carnavalgroup in the past with pickelhaubes, but atleast they were wearing plastic black helmets.


I can't even believe that some people would buy these monstrosities. And who in his right mind decide some day "Let's make copies of pickelhauben and make them in nearly every color of the Rainbow"?

My suggestion is this.....Ebay is quietly paying this Indian company to post these abominations in order to fill up space on our favourite Ebay search. Let's face it, if you took all this crap off Ebay.us there might be 2 pages of honest Imperial hauben! . Oh and I must give kudos to the seller of the M15 Garde wappen that keeps relisting for $1K year after year....must be at least 5 years by now?? :thumb up:
