I guess India was selling helmets to the Prussians?

An odd one indeed! Stage piece / parts helmet I'd say, but it's odd to think that any photo studio or stage company for that matter, wouldn't just order an actual helmet from CE Junker or where ever. The front visor certainly looks odd, maybe it's the only replace part on a damaged shell, then a grenadier eagle was stuck on to make it look official. Still, why not just purchase or borrow a real one? It would be like using a fake M1 'Steel Pot' in the US for a play in the 1970's.
