This poor guy (hammil1) keeps bidding on this, and so do I. I have absolutely NO intention of winning it, as an officer's 7th Grenadier Pickelhaube to match would be impossible. I am only bidding to annoy him...... :laughing9:

That's the one Bambang. They also had the funky rosettes with cypher on the sides. Someone on this forum probably has one. But I have no intention of looking for one! Too much $ for me......T

Hi Reservist,

Now thats a neat helmet, it seems tht you guys have everything! I read that the 7th was one of the 12 oldest line regt that was allowed the grenadier eagle, does it mean that these 12 Rgts were the 1st Prussian army?
And, is it possible to post a close up pic of the funky rosettes that Tony mentioned?

That's a shame as this grouping with helmet would make a fantsatic display.

Well, I suppose we can't have everything. We all have to cut our cloth according to our needs, is the saying. I know how it is, but a chance gone begging here I think?

It would be interesting to see a photo of this Item with a camera that does not have "spots" on the lense. It seems to me that the spots stay in the same place on the Mantel as it moves in the frame.

Tony, I'm sorry, I only saw the auction after the reserve had been met and therefore did not realise that it was a Reserve Auction. However I now see that the top bidder has dropped out, leaving YOU the one who may win it. Let's hope another will jump in :clock:
