An unidentified nobleman ( Compte Salina ) In German uniform in 1893. One noble family Conti Salina really existed in Bologna at the end of the 19th century. Photo taken in Rome.

Do you have a Rang list for 1893 ?
Is there any way to tell if he is G d C or Garde Kurassiere ?
with a Rang list it could be checked to see if any officers with
Italian names are there .I might have that list ?

I may think that this could be Fürst Reinhard Ludwig zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich.

The writing on the pict seems to end with "Solms" and the word before is maybe "Comte"? (italian?)
Fürst reinhard Ludwig (1867-1951) was Obersleutnant in the GdC and Kommandeur of this unit between 1915 and 1917.

in photo is really written Compte in French, Conte in Italian.
but if born in 1867, in 1893 he was only 26 years old but This officer seems older to me.
