Imperial equipment markings

Does anyone have information on unit markings? I recently pick up a pair of E. Leitz-Wetzlar Fernglas 08 with case that are marked with a "K" on the bridge.
Any assistance is appreciated.

The K is most likely an assembly marking, it is not a unit marking

After more reading this morning, I may have found my answer. Several web pages list the "K" mark as a military acceptance mark for the Gewehr Prüfungskommission Spandau. I have found photos of Fernglas 08 from several manufactures with the same mark. Can anyone confirm this?

It sticks in my mind that all acceptance marks were in a Fracture font with a crown above, that being said, I know tha the Austrians stamped the letter K on Steyr pistols as a control mark.
