Here side by side is a Saxon customs officer (same plate as the police but gilded) and the Royal Saxon Gendarmerie officer above, the plate is a little larger and features the Vaterland-Bandeau with Saxon motto.

Could you please tell me what kind of insignia that is on the gentleman's cap? Excuse my ignorance I've only a limited amount of space up there and when something new goes in sadly one goes away.

It’s actually an old 1938 Mills Jukebox that plays 78 rpm records.

That is King Edward VIII who abdicated the British throne. He is wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards.

He was our King of Canada as well at the time.

That Jukebox is really nice, and I can't believe I didn't recognize him, I've never seen him in Military Dress. Great photo.
