I have this information that it is a commemorative medal attached to the case of a watch. Have you come across a similar object?

I would think a medal worn by a veteran of the regiment .

Yes definitely...”.In memory of my service” would indicate a veteran. In English this would be called a “watch fob”. I am not certain though W, that this is the case here. I see two attachment loops on each side of the medal which would be unusual for a watch fob.

I'm not sure what it is, but it is not an officially recognized medal or medallion.
I cannot find an OEK number that supports it.
Very interesting though.
