My favourite Cabinet Photograph of my collection, I bought the entire lot of 82 Cabinet photographs just to own this, I have sold the rest since.
The quality of the photograph is amazing for its age, it shows the difference in equipment between the Regular Army and the Reserve.
Its also rare to have a German Cabinet photograph from a French Studio, I have not seen many, which doesn't mean there aren't more, I just haven't seen that many
There is history attached to this picture, but I haven't put it in the database yet and the yellow sticky note on the back has ceased to be sticky and fallen off, so I will need to go through the research loop again, but from memory the Reserve Unit had been fighting on the Eastern Front and were transferred to the Western Front in Spetember 1915.
