Infantry Regimental Band

Great photo
I like the musicians photos as I collect straps for the Musicmeister .
I guess that you don't know the regiment or you would
have noted it
Thanks for the post
Steve

Here are the color details of the Baden L G R 109 Schellenbaum
and the Schllenbaum Fahna
Interesting how few of these end up in private collections
Maybe in Europe ?
If any members have a special in the Schellenbaum of
a certain regiment
let me know

Always had an interest in schellenbaums, but don’t remember seeing any come up in auctions, (Imperial, that is) Schellenbaums flags, yes, but not the whole schellenbaum.
Steve, do you know of any reference book for Imperial German schellenbaums?

Here is is a new made copy of the schellenbaum for the 1st Garde Regt zu Fuss.

Thanks
Who has that copy ?
Or can you say ?
I have a great reference
but it appears to be hand made
by some German Military Music Society
It is a 2 Vol set with plates like
what I posted for the Baden L G R 109
I think that it has all of the regiments
Years ago I was dealing with Peter Plimton
of NYC on EBay
He sold under the name of "Doctor Fatty "
that is where I got the set on a private deal with him

Dennis ;
My reference shows that the 1 G R z Fuss over the years had 3 different Schellenbaum
M 1852 M 1874 and final mode 1902 .The Schellenbaum Fahna also changed each time .
As a collector who always asks questions What did they do with the old models and Fahna ??
With the 1902 final model they had 2 Fahna .One for Parade and one for Dienst

Dennis ;
Great !
Yours or in a museum ?
Thanks
I had a Schellenbaum once in my collection
Nothing as important as the 1 G R zu Fuss
It was a yellow Prussian Line regiment
in the 130's
but then again they are all nice
some are just better than others
