Here is some interesting information I found out about the unit. Apparently half of the enlisted soldiers in the third reserve division came from the area of Berlin and Hanover. Some were also from Westphalia. The Pioneer battalions parent unit went to the Western front. This must have been any mobilization/train car planner nightmare.

I'm planning to prepare a map with places where the 3 RD was during the war. That's why I'm looking for any information or maps useful for this project. I know that the 3 RD started war on the eastern front where it stayed until May 1917.
