IR 94 Wappen

Just to inform that the III rd bataillon of RJR 94 was not Saxe Weimar Eisenach but just Prussian,
therefore the Prussian eagle could fit with recruits from the III bataillon
of course the explanation given previously is also valid, it could just be due to the shortage in small states specific plate :)
 
Quite a mish-mash indeed. It seems that they were getting to the bottom of the barrel when it came to uniforms. Whatever obsolete pieces got left behind at the depots, were used and reused. Both the IR.94 and the RIR.94 (I. & II. Batls.) were coming out of Weimar and Eisenach, so it makes sense that old clothing from both units were on hand and parceled out as needed.
