IR 94?

Anyone else think this is an IR 94 officer helmet? Looks to be missing the silver crest plate and some replaced the base?

Or maybe it's just a parts helmet? Anyone have any thoughts?

Coming to Pathway Market from an estate is an authentic antique infantry officers leather Pickelhaube from around WWI. It has the red, white and black cockade of the German Empire and the green white green cockade of the Kingdom of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

I feel this one's gonna end up as someone's expensive project that is of course unless that someone has the missing piece. (y)
 
I had been looking at this one myself, it's hard to say what happens to these over the years. Is it possibly the base is brass and just tarnished unevenly over the years? It wouldn't be the first time components were made to different standards and aged poorly.
 
Besides the absence of arms on the eagle, this is not even an officer plate. See the non-voided crown and crude details. Holes to affix the star should be on a vertical line. Hence there is no proof this helmet ever belonged to a "Fuerst" regiment. Excellent copies of those cockades exist. The front visor rim is not right either.
