IR Lübeck (3. Hanseatisches) Nr. 162 Officer Pickelhaube

Dear all,

I am selling my officer Pickelhaube. It is dated from 1915 belonging to an officer in Infanterie-Regiment Lübeck (3. Hanseatisches) Nr. 162. It comes with the cloth cover as well. The cover has a few small holes in the rear. I have attached pictures of the helmet and cover and I can certainly send more pictures upon request. I want $1800 for the helmet so please PM me with any questions or offers!

Hi Matt,

I have a few questions.

1) does the spike unscrew like a M15 helmet, so a small fieldgrey dome appears ?
2) you say that the helmet ist dated 1915. Do you have a pict of the stamp?
3) at last but not least, do you see a name of wearer in the shell or in the cover?

I can send a picture of the spike this evening once I’m home. I do not unfortunately have a name of the owner, I wish I did. As for the stamp, I can look around but I have not seen one. I will take a deeper looks once I’m home. I used to have a write up (in German) about the helmet, however I move regularly for work and it has been lost over the years.
