do you think as well that ""The front hole is no longer in line as it always should be on pre-war M95 helmets" do you have any other comments on this?chinstrap apart which seems a sure fake.....:-(((

Great discussion about the 88th Infantry Regiment pickelhauben. I especially appreciate information about care and preserving the helmets pre-1914, and the pros and cons of cleaning them today. It is great to see so many examples owned by forum members.Thanks for the time everyone has taken to provide insight on this topic.
