What are the chances that this is real? It's coming out of England --- or perhaps India

The quality of the casting of the eagle leads me to think it is a fake of poor quality, among other things.
 
I messaged the guy on Ebay, he said he couldn't find and maker marks inside the helmet shell or on the trim... :-s
 
This seller is known for imitations. The eagle looks bad to me. The chin scales are brass and should be tombak and the spike looks too small to me. Would need more pictures before I would consider it.
 
I wouldn't even consider it as it looks like an atrocious fake to me. Don't let the stamping fool you, anybody can buy stamps and mark helmets.

Correct. In addition chin scales are too short, the star too high on the shell, the spike basis is too short and should be made of white metal, not yellow. There should be no regimental marking on an officer helmet...
And this is just on quick, superficial observation...
 
Apparently the buyer got smart. This is now for sale --- again.
