Is this a good buy?

In my opinion i would not go for it to mutch imperfections on it not even for a parts helmet

Hi guys,

It's my auction. :D

I described it as honest as I can be, not to fool anyone. Just want to be as accurate as possible so that you are not in shock when you receive the item.

Thank you for saying that I am a trusted seller.

It's really a part helmet and that's why I started it very low. It's almost like a giveaway.

Do ask me if you have more questions. Thank you.

Just as an aside comment, we do find holes behind the wappen that were plugged/filled in during the war. However, it was never done like this with "finish" slopped on the inside of the helmet. A period repair should have a leather plug in the hole, finish applied to it on the outside to fill in and finally a circular thin leather patch glued over the hole on the inside. One other faster method I have seen, is a black painted, round flat head split prong metal brad. This is just inserted into the hole and the prongs bent back on the inside.
