It’s advertised as a Prussian Feldartillerie officer’s pickelhaube. Could someone tell me what they think of it?IMG_5034.jpegIMG_5035.jpegIMG_5036.jpegIMG_5037.jpegIMG_5038.jpeg

For example, with this helmet the left chin chain or Schuppenketten, is longer than the right.
In another photo of his advertisement you see the "ghost" of the eagle above the brass eagle (helmet plate has also been replaced), the left mounting bolt of the helmet plate on the inside is a modern hexagonal...etcetera.etc..
This guy is from Belgium and sells his rubbish also at 2ehands

Thank you for informing me! I have never bought a pickelhaube before and I am not very knowledgeable on the subject.

Good eye.

We all had our "fixers"....
In my time (the mid and late 70 ties) there was this guy who worked for the biggest Antwerp news paper.
Due to that job he was the first one to get to any militaria advert popping up at the newpaper classifieds.
And on top of that he had a "repair shop" in his cellar, to "fix" things....I am not speaking about "restoring", it was "fixing".
