Is this fully original. Owner said he’s had it about 20years. He a collectors and he’s selling some stuff. Thanks.

Sorry I should have said I just like the shell because the other pictures are two small for me to see any detail.

Don't expect to pay more than €100 for this helmet. It's a good helmet for re-enactment, but not for museums or collectors.
---The headpiece does not conform, on the Stahl the stitching on the pad holders is U-shaped and not rectangular like here. The seam along the fold towards the strapping is too much. It would be interesting to see the back, bearing side. (n)
---The camo paintwork is probably contemporary:
-The exterior is in very good condition, while the bottom of the hull shows ‘orange peel’ corrosion.
-On the outside, on the camo paint chips, the original Feldgrau can never be found.
At this price, it's the kind of helmet you don't want to buy 1000kms from home, based on a photo. You have to take it in hand.

Thank you. I will not be bidding now. It’s already at 150 I think. I’m going to wait for a fully original camo one. Only problem is i never see them for sale. Thanks.

Beware of the Swedish M21 and M26 liners in all those helmets. One thing is that the Swedes liner appears to be "too flat" and not as thick, and filed as the germans originals.

Not to mention the reproductions
