This reminds me of a question I had after reading one of Carlson's posts with the stingy brim, this cap has a kleinem Augenschirm or stingy brim, was this a feature of rank? Would a Zugsführer have a smaller peak than a Feldwebel?

Its a question of time. The kleinem Augenschirm were worn up until around 1895 -1900 or so when the Schirmmütze began to modernize in shape. I am not sure of when this happened exactly. Most of the little visor Schirmmütze have the single pre-1897 Kokarde. Muth, (?) I am not sure about those colors. Ensure it is Dunkelblau on top and not black. Black top would be civilian. Tony
