J.R. 84/L.J.R. 84 helmet

There was some discussion in another thread about a helmet marked to J.R. 31 also being marked to L.J.R. 31.

For those interested in this sort of thing the following line infantry helmet also has matching line infantry and landwehr infantry numbers.

Neat! JR 84 is one of those rare occasions where all three lineup.
Schleswig-Holstein - 4
Infanterie-Regiment von Manstein (1. Schleswigsches) Nr.84
Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 84 - Kiel, Rendsburg, Neustrelitz (Mecklenburg-Strelitz)
Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 84 - Flensburg, Schleswig, Kiel

Neat markings! It would be nice if you donated the Landwehr one to the list of examples!

What I found most interesting was the markings from the Bekleidungsamt.
I think this is the first leather helmet I have seen that had the letter "G." I have seen a lot of "F" but have only seen "G" on steel helmets. I do not know what it means.

Here is another anomaly -- marking say repair facility all the Army Corps VII -- JR 84 and L. JR 84 seem to be resident in the IX Corps area. Perhaps the rear visor was replaced?

There is no evidence of the rear visor being replaced. However, the rear spine was definitely replaced at some point in time.
