Joe they look like 2 good books .the author is on another WW1forum I am on and he knows his stuff . Do you know if he has any other books on the somme infered about german troops ? I am looking for Possierres ridge in late July ,and that general area for October

I am finding Amazon to be better all around. Regularly cheaper than B&N. If you use the Amazon search box on my site to order I even get a commission.

I have ordered the latest 2 they have to be shipped from England. The first book Germans on the Somme is fantastic. I like Jack a lot but I think the maps in the first volume are very lacking.

The first one is about$25 hardback and the next 2 about $16 paperback each.

The Western Front Association has recently released a set of CD's containing German trench maps . I have not seen these but the Brittish ones are exelent .They accomodate if a map is lacking in a book.
