Hi everyone....
arrived recently to be evaluated, in the end I decided to put it in the collection (evenafter the precious help and advice of a highly esteemed member of this forum) so I have the pleasure of sharing it with all of you.
Weare talking about a “Jager zu Pzerde” mod 1905 troop helmet JzPfN°1, 2, 3, 4 et 7
Eagle in neusilber and chinstrap in tombac (even if the right final part of the leather strap is no longer present.)
64mm large type rosettes.
I read in some book that some of these helmets have a number printed on the helmet under the eagle shown on the back of the eagle itself... unfortunately this one doesn't.
As always, any opinion is welcome also pointing out any defects which due to my inexperience I wasn't able to see (hopefully few) in order to learn more and more about these beautiful helmets.
Forgive me for the amount of pics, but I think they could be useful in evaluating.
Really thanks to everyone
and all my best from Turin
Giorgio

From what I have seen Kurassiere enlisted helmets have the regiment markins under the kokard on the side of the helmet
J Z P helmets if regiment marked are on the metal trim at the edge of the helmet

Hi Steve,
no, unfortunately apart from the size (55) at the edge there are no other marks on the edge or under the kokard......

Nice looking helmet! My JzP has a similar form to it... I wonder whose head is round enough for it to fit comfortably? ;) (maybe they would 'adjust' them by giving them a squeeze between their knees.)
