I am posting thes pics for a new member, James. Obviously, this piece has some fireman characteristics, however, I have never seen this wappen before...Eisenbahn?? But why would an eisenbahn wappen be put on a fire haube? Anyway, lets hear some opinions and hopefully a positive ID.

Wow, that's very interesting. I've never seen the railway logo in that big of a size, let alone being on a leather body helmet.

Thanks James....wonder if this was some sort of early race helmet made from a war surplus haube? Has anyone else out there seen one of these?

If the Auto (transportation) Corps had a concentrated training center, then maybe this was from the FD at the training center??? Very cool helmet!
