Hi all,

I love to take photos of the items in the collection. Everything is sadly in storage, put away in boxes and not visible, and when on display only for a short time. So making photos is one way to enjoy the pieces.

I start with the two ECOs I have (they are also described in my book - photo attached). One is a recent addition actually and came from a close friend. I could not resist it :) Both are complete with liners and marked/dated chinstraps.

Yes indeed, called "Helm mit Ohrenausschnitten" or “ear cutout helmet”. It was probably done to allow better hearing, and not specifically intended for cavalry units.

Beautiful Helmets Johan and to have two that are both complete is incredible.

Still enjoying your books my friend, countless hours of entertainment and thank you for all your efforts and dedication to educating our collecting community as well as preserving the history we love. (y)(y)

Hi Johan,

Incredibly nice collection, I'm missing the Bavarian model can. I've been looking for one for over 20 years and still no luck.

Thanks for sharing the picture it really looks great with everything all together. (y)(y)

Hi Steve,
Johans books are limited to 300 copies of each book and are only published on demand from his list of reservations.

Its best to contact him and tell him the books you're interested in so you're on the list and when he prints some you can get it.

I think the one on Stahlhelms was published back in Dec of 2023.
