JzP and Kurassier Discussion

As I look at posts and pictures of other people's collections, I notice so many different variations that I did not know existed, as I have seen no photos or written description of such an item.
I have fifteen JzP and Kurassier Metalhelm (10 JzP and 5 Ku), and I've had to restore or conserve most of them. Many were painted black or silver, with fittings painted yellow or gold color when they should be grey, some fittings were painted black and had to be stripped and repainted, some helmets were chrome or nickel plated by owners at some point who thought that was the way to go with the helmet.
I have puchased original cockades that were dug up, stripped them of their dirt and rust, and attempted to paint them as accurately as I could for the national and Prussian colors. I recently had some eagles that needed the posts and loops moved from where someone had placed them. I don't believe they were original placement of posts or loops but needed to move them so they would fit on the helmets I have that need eagles. I'll attach photos for this post to add clarity.

I would like to know if others have JzP or Kurassier helmets they have had to repair, restore, or conserve similar to my experience.
More to follow.
