Picked this one up last month, JZP officer in blued configuration.

Front visor marked with WUNDERLICK which is the maker, back visor has size 54.5.

Back visor lined with black felt, front visor lined in brown leather. Has markings on sweatband, name? I know it says KINDER, but it is not a kinder helmet.

Hi James,
Beautiful helmet, congratulations.
The manufacturer is Wunderlich, a high-quality firm.
Regards,
Lars

Yes James, Double-WOW!

Glad you took a chance on this rare beauty and that it indeed turned out to be original! Congrats!

Best Wishes,

Alan

Beautiful helmet, harder to come by than the nickel “interim” piece.
Congrats!

Congrats …. A very different neck flap (normally round for off.) It takes guts to buy a different type.

This mixture of obvious originality and non-canonical features is stunning, James! I had never seen such a variant. I also notice that cockades bear the silver ring with double striation, to refer to a recent topic that stirred active discussion...
An amazing helmet.

If it wasn't for the Wunderlich stamp I would have serious doubts.
I don't see any dents , so I suppose it's not a lightweight ?

Ed- no it is regular weight not lightweight....

I did not put much money into it as I took a chance as parts alone are worth way more then I paid.

If it is not good, I can live with it:) This is the first Officer JZP I Have purchased so I am no expert on these....

You can give it to me straight, I can take it🤕

James

This is all just my opinion , and I have to judge from pictures only , BUT ;

The fact that it is not a lightweight , is one more serene going off to me.

You can always tell a fake stepvisor by it’s weight ,the real ones are made from very thin sheet plate, those officers (often royals didn’t like to suffer on their horse.

It is a good thing you didn’t pay much and yeah you are right , if we can’t speak our minds on a forum ,then what are they for …

It could well be a kinder helmet.

I can see at least 5 things on this helmet that are not right. But always be very very careful with metal helmets . for instance , would you say this is an original ?

Indeed Philippe, but it is a lot harder to mess with leader than with metal.

The Garde Reiter is fake and sold as such by Ratisbon.
