Nicely restored? Wrong spike top as far as I can see, new liner and 'lining' on the neck guard and visor... Right??? Maybe, but could this be a high grade replica?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pickelhaube-Jager-zu-Pferde-Helm-Offizier-/320845542517?pt=Militaria&hash=item4ab3e27475" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also, the trim on these tends to be a 'nickel silver' or 'silver' to offset the steel of the helmet... I don't see that on this one.

This helmet is from Poland from :http://spikehelmets.pl/index.php?mact=Gallery,cntnt01,default,1&cntnt01dir=helmets%2Fhelm-07&cntnt01returnid=34&page=34
You can get the helmet m there for half the price of this ebay item.
I use a Kürassier Offizierhelm from them for reenactment.

This is a pretty nice replica. The front visor is still not quite right (but some original don't look 'quite right' either!). Since I couldn't read the description as well as I could have, I thought it might have been an original shell, over-restored on the inside, newly silvered eagle (can be done in Eastern Germany I believe, near Halle) with parts mixed up (notice that the spike is wrong). It's obvious that the liner and visor linings are new, but the shell / visor contours are much better than any I've seen to date... better than on the Polish site, so maybe they've improved since posting pictures there.

Your website is very impressive. Do you know the Koenig brothers and Joerg Dehn?

Its not my website, i only use a helmet from them with a eagle from König for reenactment.
I know the König brothers and Jörg Dehn very well, reenacters like me. Dehn has this polish helmets on stock: http://www.joerg-dehn.de/Pickelhauben/Helme-Burgerwehren/Metallhelme/metallhelme.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Do you mean http://www.kuerassier.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is not yours?

NICE uniform! Here are my wife and myself when we used to re-enact. The tank was assigned to me by the Patton Museum and as the driver, it was 'my' vehicle for the week to care for and keep running. A LOT of fun. Other than Stuarts, we also crewed Sherman family vehicles and half tracks.

Kuerassier: Is that metalhelme authentic or was it refurbished as well/made from parts?
