Kaiser Wilhelm II as a Ottoman Turkish Marshal, 1917-18

:bravo: ukturkcollector. To my amazement, these pictures also show openly the handicapped arm of the Kaiser, which is normally, or most of the time, expressly covered with a coat, or turned away from the camera.

Very nice Chris; thanks for posting!
Here's the complete version of one of your Fieldmarshall uniform photos above (got it from Wikipedia I think):

I was wondering if he kept those uniforms or just borrowed them for his 'Halloween' photo shoots... It now seems he did keep these and I wondered what happened to them after his death?

Here's another photo his Imperial highness while touring Constantinople and Gallipoli in Oct. 1917 (same soure):

Need a full address on that house please as well as all the security details you might have...
Gus; prepare your (amphibious) truck and meet me there! :greentank:

The full details of the Huis Doorn, I repeat for others here , Ron, are to be found here: http://pierreswesternfront.punt.nl/?id=410295&r=1&tbl_archief=&" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .
With some modest pride I may inform you, that over 20.000 visitors were before you. :)

Very nice as always Pierre! =D>
I'm still reading through... Wasn't that house
Who owns the 'little' old House doorn today? The Kaiser's descendants I presume?

Thank you, Ron! :)
In such a small country as mine the Huis Doorn Park is considered as quite a large estate. :)
The estate and the manor is now owned by the Dutch Huis Doorn Foundation, "De Stichting tot Beheer Huis Doorn". See for details here on their official website: http://www.huisdoorn.nl/eng/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and also in Dutch alas only: http://www.huisdoorn.nl/nld/organisatie/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .
As you will see on the list of names, all members of the board and most of the 140 volunteers involved are Dutch.

Re-edited by myself, because my answer was still incomplete.

Great thread UKTC, good to see it all laid out here... and Pierre your page on the Huis Doorn is great too. I wonder why they do not display all the Kaiser's uniforms. If they did I would visit tomorrow!

Cheers
Chris
