Not sure where to place this
but I will start here
Sad to say this is not my helmet
but in the collection of a friend
I had never seen a Kammer issue stamp
on the back of a leather strap
So I took this photo.

Has anyone out there ever seen one like this before ?

Never seen this before but one hell of an od place to have sutch marking
Not easy to stamp it i guess

I knew that troddles where marked like this but not a chinstrap

Great of you to share this

Jonas

Hello

I saw such a marked chinstrap on a bay 7 JR helmet. The helmet and Uberzug were too marked with 7 JR marking and the helmet was genuine, the chinstrap has been on this helmet since the beginning.

Every time i get my hands on a helmet this wil be the first thing to do is looking on the chinstrap for any markings

This prooves that the germans where inventive :D

Very Good

thanks so much for posting
That makes 2 that I have seen now
and the helmet cover to boot .
Did you buy the helmet ?

Thanks
Steve

Too many marks often arouse my suspicion, but these are obviously the real deal,
And you kind gentlemen just added another level of a 100% .

"Hey Max."
"Ja?"
"See if this stamp works..."
"Where?"
"I dunno, try it out on the chinstrap."

Maybe there were 'chinstrap thieves' out there from other regiments, or even a way to mark 'every bit of equipment' to the regiment. :-k Interesting!
