Yes , I think maybe it is an M1915 H R 3
Because of a friend of mine who was a close friend of Chip's
I was able to contact Chip's sons .They allowed me to
pick out a small amount of items and purchase them
before the collection was sold .
My focus was on his M1915 H R straps
I didn't know at the time of your need
I didn't buy the H R 3 strap because I already had one
If I had known, I should have bought it for you
I did get some really good & rare ones.

Thank you! Very nice pictures of Straps and i am sure we all found some gems for our collections on them! For me it feels like the interest in Straps and Boards is raising, too.
I knew Chip. He was aktive on some german Forums, too and i always appreciated his help and his outstanding knowledge.
I heard that his collection was sold. Its good to hear that it will be on auction, is it already known who will make the auction? For sure he had some of my missing Straps so it will be nice to see what will be up for auction.

A very nice strap . For me it is hard to tell the Uhlan strap from the Infantry regt.
When I was able to add a pair of U R 19 officer with double underlay M1915
yellow over red . I knew for sure that they are U R 19

I try to keep my collection to certain units but end up tired of not finding anything and branch out in all directions.

@KAGGR#1 These are lovley pieces! Amazing! You are right its hard to tell which is an infantry board and which an ulan. To be honest, i didnt know before you told me that there was an infantry regiment using the same cypher. My board appears to be more slim than all my other infantry boards, maybe that points to the ulan's direction? So as long as i dont find such beautiful M15 Boards like you i am happy with that one for my project

Many years ago i visited the Isonzo Battlefields for the first time an got infected. i came home and wanted to collect a piece of that history. 20 years later i ended up with a lot of pieces of this battle. My experience is, that it is easy to find a focus, its much harder to stay focused on it. We all like to buy and get new pieces for our collections and sometimes its hard to wait until that piece comes and not to buy anything else!
