We went to King Kong last night and it was fantastic. Very sad, but an amazing movie.
In one scene the director Carl Denham (Jack Black) and his crew are captured by local Aboriginals and things look grim. Then suddenly, shots ring out and Captain Englehorn from the ship, (Thomas Kretschmann) saves them by shooting the locals, with an (yes!) Artillery Luger!
I did not realize but before I could stop I screamed YEA! ARTILLERY! in what was a quiet theatre and received an elbow in the ribs from Ann for my outburst. Ow.
