Dear Friends
two photo with some young recruits of Kuk Landesschützen, proudly showing the Edelweiss on collar and mountain rooster plume on their Kappe.
Photos taken in winter 1915. These elite mountain Regiments were recruited in South Tyrol and were considered among the most patriotic troops of the Austro-Ungarian Empire.

It looks like a photo of an 8th grade graduating class.
The oldest one pictured can't be much over 15.
