Kurassier pallasch

Nice one. Privat purchased for enlisted men. It looks in many details like the Degen for officer but not in all.

Hello,
Many of Kurassier's Pallasch were French cuirassier lattes. Initially slightly shortened M1816s, then lighter Dragon M1854s.

This is a German-made weapon, probably Solingen. With its lightweight design, shagreen (sharkskin) handle and acid-etched blade, it was a ceremonial weapon, purchased privately or commercially (Eigentum) and not a weapon issued by the army (Kammer). As a result, there are no receipt and control stamps, and no regimental number.

As said by Kuerassier, private purchase for an enlisted man of one year for example, but not for an officer.
