Land Gendarmes. LG15 other ranks for mounted troops

Hi,

Dragoon style other ranks helmet for rural police or more probably field police (hopefully) looking at the stamps inside.

Sadly can't make out ink stamp but hopefully it's an army issue one from 1915.

Cockades have been refurbished sadly with fresh paint and a washer missing from rear fixing nut if the eagle but otherwise pretty much complete.

first one I've owned so comment and background information always appreciated.

This helmet is a Prussian mounted gendarme's helmet. It is identical to the Guard Dragoon's helmet, except for the markings.
LG stands for LandGendarmerie. 15 stands for Brigade No. 15, rather than the year 1915, though this remains to be proven.
RG signifie ReichsGendarmerie. Il s'agit du même casque, mais orné de l'aigle royal.

Thanks Clovis57, looking at the one for sale with AOK the stamp may be the makers mark from Berlin. Looks similar in size and position.
