Last Canadian WWI vet who saw action dies

Sad. Four left alive according to the CBC, but they never saw action.

I remember when I was in basic Training in 1978 and the radio announced that the last Cdn vet of the Boer war have died.
 
The last AIF veteran of Gallipoli died about 3 years ago, the last Western Front vet passed away last year, the last RAN sailor died earlier this year. Just one vet left who served only in Australia during the Great War. That was a tough generation.
