I know I needed another Pioneer helmet like a hole in my head, but could not pass up this older model with great markings.

Outside of helmet is in fantastic shape with nickel fittings, older screw back wappen that shows great detail.

Liner shows age, however has wonderful tag inside with soldier name and unit PB 27. Also on the back visor is numerous markings, on one side P.B. 27 and 1C in a box. on other side of back visor 2 dates 1894 and 1904. Tag clearly shows shows 2C and visor shows 1C so looks like it may have been reused?

Nice original chinstrap and Kokarden to boot. Nice untouched helmet.

James, a wonderful pionier M91 you have there! I love it too! =D> =D> =D>
Those small details like this name tag are always very welcome for us collectors.
Sergeant Reitmann was a hornist too! (horn player). Very cool! :thumb up:
Yes, I also think this helmet moved at some time from the 2C in the 1C of PB27 or vice versa, who knows that yet?

I think no PB 27 but rather an early PB7 and later Pb2.

Obviously yes! Good eyes! :o
PB7, then PB2 and at least PB27 (not to forget the name tag!!!) Cool combination!
And it seems that one can see the traces of the Überzug hooks on both sides of rear visor...

Joe great catch, I did not even notice the double stamp on the visor, yes PB 2 and PB 7 and the tag for PB 27 interesting!

Does this mean you have lots? If so, what do you want for one or two?
