Lauenburger M1848 pickelhaube

GO AMY!! Lauenburg declared its independence from Denmark together with Schleswig and Holstein in 1848 and adopted the M42 in alliance with the German Federation. However, potentially threatened by a Prussian claim to its territory as well, they arranged to have Hanoverian troops occupy the duchy during the hostilities. It was reclaimed by the king of Denmark in 1851.

Thanks, i also found additional information from the following website which have many early helmets.

I happen to come across that website and it has many valuable info on early helmets. I have no idea who is the owner of the site but I suspect it's Chris Dale.
