Even little things can be nice. I got this trench work. The soldier who made this footwork was a true artist. I have never seen such a fine carving. I think it's Marine.Maybe Flanders Corps? Or does anyone have an other idea?

Very nice, but could you give a bit more information.
How big is it?
What was it used for?
Is it made of bone? And from wich animal?

Somehow the soldiers had to keep themselves busy in the trenches for a long time. The usual work was to make flower vases from bullet casings. Grenade splinters were also made into letter openers or even daggers. It is rarer to find such trench work made from bones or bones. Mostly from dead horses or cattle ..
My piece is 14cm high and serves as an ashtray. A second piece is not as artistic, but also decorative
