I don't think so. The tail appears too long, the rivets are not rivets but studs with bent pins, judging by the way the helmet metal is dented it appears that the steel is too thin, etc. The Wappen may be original but the screws are extremely long. In my opinion I would say to leave it alone.

Whenever possible get a second set of eyes. For some reason you always see what you want to see as opposed to what is really there. Friends and fellow collectors have saved me from some really really really bad purchases. That is one of the major reasons to go to SOS and become a known entity. Faces with the screen names!

Stamped into the body where the kokard
would be and cover up the stamp.

The first helme....faked due to the split rivets in the tail and extra repro split brad beside the M91 post. The last helme KR 3 , another rusted "bond helme" from the pyramid of helmets we saw displayed in NYC. A survivor which would clean up
nicely, and which does have its original liner present.
