Our old good ulan9 alias R.F. has something scarce to sell, a LGR109 EM Haube with Überzug and Parade Trichter...What are you thinking about it, Guys?? (I have no interest, I am lucky to already own a very good one \/ ).
I don´t trust this seller...Name tag looks like a false for me (Unteroffizier der Reserve... but no reserve cross on the wappen [-( ). Baden cokade on the wrong side and wrong prussian cokade....But however, the markings are looking OK as the back of the wappen....
Seems to be a M91 pattern (rear spine without vent).

How did they affix the reservist crosses to these? Were their prongs wrapped around the lower plate someplace, or did holes have to be punched? If it's the latter, then there is indeed something not right. If their prongs were just wrapped around something, then it may be a nice helmet... not that I would give much credence to the cover being truly matched (not stamped or marked), not that it would really matter, if you get a good helmet. It's kind of dopey of him to have the cockades on the wrong side... repros?
Ron, look at the Larcade Tome 1, page 58 and you will find the answer.
Most of the time, the wappen on helmets (only EM) of the RR109 (Reserve) and of the LIR109 (Landwehr) did not wear the Fidelitas cross on the star, but instead of it a gilt Reserve/Landwehr cross (Mit Gott für Fürst und Vaterland + laurel leafs) uppon the star. But there are even some few examples with the Reserve cross uppon the Fidelitas cross. The banner under the griffin was of course blank. Very very scarce Hauben!!!!!
Officer helmets of the RR109 and LIR 109 had a small gilt reserve cross fixed underneath the Fidelitas cross with star. In this case too, the banner was blank.
