Today I got a lion's head saber from the Grenadier Regiment on horseback, Freiherr von Derfflinger (Neumark). About 1 year ago I sold the matching helmet.The initials HD or DH are still engraved

Yes, that's right. In 1911 the regiment was given the signature of the Swedish King Gustav V

Does anyone have a ranking where you can maybe find out the owner with the initials. The saber has only 1 carrying ring on the scabbard
