Look who is coming to visit me

Hope your feeling better Kris. Sad to see such a collection go but the memories are all still there.

Sorry to see that and am sure it hurts. But time will heal the wound. One door closes and another door will be opened for u

Kris, It's all very depressing
It is, that is why I kept some.... for different reasons. ;):)
In fact only half of what is on the picture, are keepers( for the time....). The other half didn,'t left because they are incomplete and I couldn't find the missing parts in time.
And there is more, I kept my EK collection, my miniature daggers, and quiet some other small artifacts.
Also kept 4 swords.... because of the personal souvenirs they remind me of....

Hello, I understand you completely. 20 years ago I had to sell my WWII collection. I still regret it. Fortunately, I ended up here with what I wanted to collect for a long time, and I'm succeeding little by little, but I also realize very well that we will all have to say goodbye to our knowledge here, with the understanding that we will also have to say goodbye to a piece of history that we guard and cherish. It must not be easy for you, and fortunately you can still enjoy the pieces you still have. Greetings from Belgium.

Feeling much better, but still fighting that covid thing, for a mounth, now.
I am able to do small works for limited time...
So I made my season greetings card for 2026...

What a brilliant job you did on that Kris. I think I see a tear in the Angles eye.

I'm so happy you were able to keep a few pieces. It's really heartbreaking to see what's happening in Europe.

It is most unfortunate to see such a collection broken up, however I have the deepest respect for the decision to do so.
I should hope all pieces of the collection find new and proper homes, and I am sure they will.
Best of luck with all that is currently happening.

Hello, there are a few among them that I'm going to take a look at. It's a shame you're not putting these up for sale via here, but I understand you completely. You don't have to do anything right now; the auction does everything for you. Greetings from Belgium.

It isn't just that!
Lost trust in mail services; lost over 12 K of material in two parcels, recently (one I have send, one I should recieve)....I didn't even get apologises....

Do I see it correct that these will be auctioned in Belgium?
Would be nice if it could be picked up un person. Shipment is quite costly with these action houses.

I bought something too but couldn't be there, hence via the internet. Now I just have to figure out how they will get to me. I don't speak French, so everything goes through a translator. Apparently, it should also be possible via the Wavre fair, but how? Buying is one thing, but holding it in your hands is another.
