I also have an interest in C G R 9 . Here is the flag of G R 9 / Fusilier Batl.
In the Franco-Prussian War 1870-71 the Fahnentrager died with this flag in his hands .
There is a special ring on the pole with his name ; the battle that he died in and the date .

Wow...another stunning piece!
Any pictures of the ring.
I can try and see
as you know the ring is nailed into the pole
when I first got the flag with some help with did a rotation and did the unit ring in
different positions
I will look at my file and see what I can find
The flag sold at Kube 2 different times

Here you are
It turns out that we did not do such a good job with our photos
sorry for the poor quality
The top nail studs when figured out spell out C R IV
Kube made no mention of this in his description when he sold the flag
with the help of a German collector I learned
Colberg Regt 4 the position of the flag pole at the battle of Colberg
very important part of the history of the flag
The middle silver ring is for the Fahnentrager who died with the pole in his hands
Franco -Prussian War 1870-71
the bottom silver ring is the year that the new flag was given under Kaiser Wilhelm (King)
1900

Hello jens, thanks a lot!👍
Unfortynately, the Fusilier battalion doesn't have a great role in this fight, only the 11 coy is evoked. Nevertheless, your help allow me to understand the battle on the german side.
The FB suffered 10% of the losses of the rgt.
During this battle the fahnentrager, vizefeldwebel Porath, of the I/9 died during the fights.
Thanks again!
