I have been trying to acquire this pistol for several years, and today I was surprised to have it given to me by its previous owner. It was carried by Lt Hill who served in Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadian) during WWI. He has photos of Lt. Hills medals that were retained by the grandson as well as a photo of a photo of Lt. Hill on horse back. The photos have been mislaid, but I suspect they will be found soon.

I believe in your motto, pillage first, then burn. Canada is actually very safe from me as there is much I want to pillage yet.

Great addition to your excellent collection . It was nice meeting you at this year’s SOS.
Congratulations
