M 15 artillery Württemberg .

Not my latest find ,but anyway ...

Here's my issued M15 Württemberg
A helmet with a very low dome; 1916 style (I like those the most)
No bekleidungs stamp or regiment, just the size 59 and the maker. Almost like a private purchase.











 
Einwandfreies Original. Great! I cannot remember if I have seen M15 artillery helmets with no aerator on the rear spine...
 
Regarding the vent on the rear spine:
Uniformes Hors Serie Nr 31 pages 42 and 43.
This fine book is realy good !

l was diging my way in the history of the forum as i came across this one
the inside of this helmet is this cuir simili or anything else
if you rub the inside dus it feel quite hard or rather like furr
i have two models in two different materials
and would like to know wat the material is
i will post both helmets when i have the pics taken

A similar helmet is shown in the book “Feldzug 1916” by Michael Baldwin ,where it is described as a fur felt body with black shellac finish, which sounds about right.
 
my guess is then that this one is a prety rare one becouse
the materials they used are rearly found on haubes
the were substitute materials in the schortage of leather and felt
nice one aspecialy a artillery pickel
