If I had not of sold all of my Steel helms , I would be on this .

Interesting. I don't know if I'd trust it. The Maille seems overly long and leather overly new. Would the Germans used butted rings?

I don't believe in any of this crap. Just an endless stream of fantasy BS pieces being made in garages and buried in the back yard for a year. I wouldn't have a single one of these Stahlheme armour things that have popped up in the last few years. Absolute junk.
 
The seller sells a few "Unique" pieces of german headgear every couple of months... all a little bit different... :ANGRY:

There are a couple sellers here in the UK selling the British tank chain mail masks every other month two. (as original)

Quite convincing... but repo .. and fetching £850 + each time.. :-x

I just read Captain Schnurr's post in the rough-sounding voice of the Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sergeant who sits next to me at my office in the HQ building out here. My 'Master Guns' can get pretty vocal in an amusing way about things he thinks are BS. Too freakin' funny. But yeah, I didn't say anything when I saw this thread yesterday because I thought it looked like crap as well. Heh, heh...
 
Well I tell you, if I had any more M-16s I probably would have pulled the trigger .

Good thing I don't and good thing I posted the auction here to be enlightened .
