M. 1807 Wurttemberg 100th Anniversary Helmet

This has been a strange month for helmets. I have read that these were worn in the early 1900's by various Wurttemberg troops for the centennial of the wars with Napoleon.

Picked this up yesterday at a local antique show. I will probably never find the other side to the chin scales. A very interesting piece.

Are there any 1900 era photos of these being worn?

These were made for the Centennial Celebration of the Napoleonic Wars. I really love them especially since you will never in your live be able to find or afford an original.

Not sure how much you are into the Uniforms of the Napoleonic wars but I'm a total nut for the entire period. I have the exact same helmet as you and the complete uniform as well for this unit.

It was made for the celebrations, and this one was made to represent the Wurttemberg Jaeger Regt zu Pf Nr3. Herzog Louis.

I do have a few pictures from the celebrations which in Germany were called the War of Liberation and were celebrated in 1913. I will try to find the post cards.

Here is Knotels representation of the uniform on the right.

Thanks John. Would love to see the Post Cards if you can find them.

Dugout this one for the Wurttemberg Jaeger Regt zu Pf Nr3. Herzog Louis out today just to share.

It always amazes me how much quality and effort they put into making these. I have seen several different ones in Museums in Germany and Austria just as representative examples to show rare units. I really like them.
