Dear all,

I know this one is not very special and it lacks a few vital parts, but I am seriously considering to make a bid (have not told the missus yet). This is because the overall condition is very good and the missing parts can easily be obtained via ebay etc.

Is it worth a bid in your opinion?

Hello, if you are looking for this specific model (zinc fittings) then go ahead and bid. The front plate is in good shape, and the leather is intact even though there is some cracking, I think it looks good. You might have to look around for the right quality of parts. Good luck!
 
This is marked to an artillery unit, so you'll need to find an M15 Kugel. They can be as pricey as the helmet. But I agree, it looks good, just needs to have that rust attended to (See Tony's site Kaiser's Bunker)

Edwin, the holes have been replaced... Looks arsenal made but you never know for sure.

Brian recently sold a very nice M15 EM Kugel + base and rivets on eBay by the way...

Thanks for pointing out the stuffed-up holes I had not noticed it so far.
