I have never seen a Garde H R with a Feldgrau front plate ?
I would be very careful about it
Who is offering it and how much do they ask for it ?
I would not buy it

It would be the only one that I have seen or heard of
I do not believe it

busbies are so differnt. I had the pleasure of seeing several collection of officers over a few years. Many still in their traveling cases. the thing that was so obvious after being pointed out was every one was different. some taller, shorter, differnt furs but even the insides of the later oficer opossum furs had different interiors from each other. Em busbies like pickelhaubes all have intereiors that are similar to each other but it seems that the insides of officer busbies were different from each other but of the highest quality. it's hard to verify the authenticity of he one here but my opinion it is missing its leather tongued lining which would be seen on em examples.
The carton body shouldn't be any more surprising than compressed paper pickelhaubes.

It strikes me an an original Busby frame, but it likely had hair shed or damage to the outside. A prior owner looks to have replaced it with black wool? Passing for a theatric production, but not for collecting.

Who is offering it ?
Are they a "trusted dealer " ?
Did you check what other items they have to offer ?
I am with Zeb on this one .
